This was around the last 2 weeks of April but I only got around to uploading it now. Haha!
It's Raymond's mom's first day in Hong Kong, so we decided to show her around in the most tourist-y way possible! This trip is Raymond and I's birthday (and Christmas! HAHA!) gift to her, so we were so happy that she had a lot of fun on her first trip abroad!
I won't ever, ever get tired of visiting Hong Kong. It's like every time I'm there, I get to discover and do something new! If you just want to go somewhere far and kind of familiar, Hong Kong's your best bet.
I initially wanted to try using my film camera again, I've been meaning to for the longest time, but I don't know where to get film (can someone tell me pls?) and I'm not sure if I'd like to carry TWO cameras around my neck while walking around and trying to enjoy my vacation!
Our last (kinda) full day before heading back </3 I wish I could stay longer but it was just a working weekend after all.
2nd day in Hong Kong and it's our official work day!
Photos from DAY 1 of the Can't Help Falling In Love in Hong Kong trip! I don't really know how to call it so let's leave it at that. Haha!
Day 3 and we don't want to leave yet!!!
We woke up a little earlier this time having rested quite well the night before. Also, we weren't too tired anyway because we just kept Uber-ing wherever we go. Way cheaper here, seriously.
My best friends (since high school!) and I vowed to travel out of the country together once a year. This year, we booked our flights as early as June last year (seat sale fyeah!) and didn't bother with our itinerary until a few weeks before flying.
When my Uncle and I were planning this family trip, I was relying on Google Maps and blogs for my research. Our itinerary: Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, Baguio, Ilocos Norte then back to Ilocos Sur for our flight back to Manila. Go figure.
We usually reserve a hotel a few weeks before the actual trip. I browse through Agoda or Booking.com, look for the perfect hotel in the perfect location and make sure that the price is right for me and whoever I'm traveling with. I'm all for traveling cheap without sacrificing comfort -- so a boutique or 3-star hotel should be okay.
For my best friends and I's annual out-of-the-country trip, we went to Taiwan from January 23 to 28 and it's arguably one of the funnest trip we had!
I really had little expectations with this weekend trip. Other than watching Erwan Heussaff's guide to Saigon (where all he did was eat -- and that was what I was planning to do while there), I had little to no idea what Ho Chi Minh/Saigon has.
