WHINE AND DINE AT VITTO’S
My college friends and I make it a point to see each other on our birthday months and/or when we're celebrating a milestone and/or the holidays. Which means we see each other barely 5 or 6 times a year -- but we talk everyday in our group chat, so we're okay... right?
This dinner has been set a month before and yup, you guessed it, inilaban ko pa rin. I was stuck at work for a few hours before finally heading to Vitto's Wine Bar & Restaurant. We're supposed to meet at 3pm and I got there at around 5 or 6! So sorry, friends!!! Please keep being friends with me!
See! It's already getting dark when I got there and they're on their 2nd glass of wine already! I quickly ordered my sangria and jumped right into the conversation (after explaining why I was a couple hours late, of course).
We planned to do a Secret Santa kind of thing except someone didn't quite understand our conversation so it was only the three of us who draw numbers for our gifts (to be fair he got us all gifts hahahaha!). Mine went to Sid, Sid's went to Tags and I got Tags' gift!
Our usual let's-pretty-laugh-while-holding-our-glasses-so-we'll-look-like-we're-really-having-fun-while-being-sosyal photo. Except after...
We really ended up laughing realising how stupid we must look trying to hold our fake laughter for a few seconds as Mari pressed the shutter button. Lels.
Also, I accidentally broke a wine glass. No, I wasn't tipsy or anything, I was just my usual clumsy self. Good thing Vitto's didn't charge it to us. We immediately scanned the bill once it was handed to us but luckily, no extra charge!
Vitto's was a really nice place to chill with friends -- I work so close to where it is but this was the first time I actually visited the place. I really enjoyed their sangria, didn't taste the wine though but my friends said it was good. They availed the happy hour -- unlimited wine I think, but they didn't really enjoy the cheese and cold cuts platter. Anyhoo, broken wine glass aside, I will definitely come back, maybe hold a few meetings here as well. Wow, chusera!
